I spent over an hour on the phone with your phone reps signing up for a dental plan but have no idea what happened.

I spent over an hour on the phone with your phone reps signing up for a dental plan but have no idea what happened.  I received an email from the rep I was speaking with and it did not provide any information as to how to determine the status of the application and several replies to the email have generated no reply.  I just need to know what happened so I can make plans one way or the other.  Who can answer my question without another long wait on the phone?
