Why have you chosen to no longer accept St. Francis and Warren Clinic as in-network providers and only given 1 month to complete treatments and/or find a new provider. Had I know you would do this when I re-enrolled I would not have chosen you as my insurance provider. I will be changing insurance companies as quickly as possible to get my doctor for 15 years back as quickly as possible unless BCBS OK allows St. Francis/Warren Clinic. Some areas only have doctors through St. Francis. This is extremely short-sighted for a health insurance company who supposedly cares about the health of Oklahoma.
I am also concerned about the status of the contract with St. Francis. I am a transplant patient, and we picked our health insurance based on the fact that we can interact with our transplant team. Now, in mid-contract (ours), you are telling us we have to find a whole new set of physicians who know nothing about my health history .
This situation has never come up before in close to 40 years of having health insurance. I am deeply concerned, and frankly upset that you are able to alter our contract for providers (in network physicians etc….), and we have no recourse.
This is a real eye-opener!
Hello, Some plans may allow for you to receive a waiver to continue seeing your transplant team, even after the contract period has ended. You can send us a private message here or contact customer service at the number on your Id card and we can check on this for you. ~ Kayla
